Bone loss around teeth and damage to the ligaments that connect the teeth to bone are the primary causes of tooth loss. We are experienced in the diagnosing and treatment of all stages of periodontal disease. Our periodontist provides care for the more complicated aspects of periodontal therapy.
Whether you require initial treatment that includes scaling and root planing, deeper cleaning of the teeth and roots and maintenance, or more advanced therapies including surgery and gum grafting, we are here to help. Call to schedule your appointment.
Scaling and Root Planing
The goal of these two procedures is to remove dental plaque which can cause infections, inflammation, and disease. Scaling removes dental tartar from teeth, while root planing smoothes and removes infected tooth structures.
Sometimes, in advanced periodontal disease, gum surgery is necessary to correct soft and hard tissue defects. We have a periodontist on staff to handle more complex periodontal therapy including surgery and grafting procedures.
