After Cosmetic or Reconstructive Appointment:
- Follow all medication instructions and be aware of infections.
- Your bite may feel odd; this is normal.
- Expect some sensitivity to both hot and cold.
- Your gums may swell and be sore for a few days. Rinse with warm salt water three times a day to reduce pain and swelling.
- Your speech may be slightly affected for a few days
- Brush and floss per our specific instructions.
After Crown and Bridge Appointment:
- Follow all medication instructions and be aware of infections.
- Maintain a soft diet for at least 24 hours, avoid coffee and tea.
- Avoid over-exertion for first 24 hours.
- Do not miss follow up appointments for crown or bridge adjustments.
- Your bite may feel odd for a few days; this will pass.
After Filling Appointment:
- Allow anesthetic to wear off before eating or drinking.
- Follow all medication instructions and be aware of infections.
- Expect some sensitivity to hot and cold foods and drinks.
- Pain and tenderness can be treated with aspirin.
- If pain persists for longer than 24 hours, contact us.
